On Jean Nouvel's installation The Fifties (Paris, Centre Georges Pompidou, 1988), an exhibition without any recognizable order of such objects as television sets, tables, toasters, refrigerators, lamps, photos, clothing, paintings, cars, military vehicles, architectural plans, models, etc. Author argues that the exhibition was intended to question the concept of design and aesthetics, and that it leads to a critique of the value formation of objects.
