Abstract (en)

Discusses Gerhard Schultze-Seehof's 1957 Ku'damm-Vase, a monumental vase with abstract mosaic decoration located at the corner of Kurfürstendamm and Grolmanstrasse, Berlin. Concludes that "the secularization of art through the means of art, the latent invisibility and permanent adaptability make this vase a model not only for art itself but for the public realm as well."
