Exhibition presenting the work of 12 contemporary photographers who imaginatively explore such effects as blurred and overlapped images caused by time exposures, not as ends in themselves but as creative means. Considers how photographers use their highly objective and technical medium to represent time and space and to produce images that transcend such limitations. Includes 19th-20th c. works, but mainly photographs 1954-1988.
