Abstract (en)

Describes two houses in Kent currently on the market: The Cloth Hall, Smarden, which is a 15th c. half-timbered structure restored in the late 1940s and 1950s; and South Foreland House, Saint Margaret's Bay, which was built 1887 in Renaissance revival style with Art Deco interiors added in the late 1940s and 1950s.
