Catalogue of an exhibition celebrating the reopening of part of the Medieval collection of the Museo Diocesano, devoted to the art of Salerno from the Lombard domination to the Angevin dynasty (9th-13th cs.). Includes a history of the building (formerly the Seminario, 16th-20th cs.) and its restoration. A supplement, Gli Avori, illustrates 15 ivory panels from the Salerno altar frontal, 11th-12th cs., with scenes from the Old and New Testaments, exhibited together for the first time since their dismemberment and dispersal to other museums in Europe and America.
