In three sections: (1) on the urban development of Piediluco, 11th-15th cs., and the rulership of the Trinci family; (2) on the manuscript illuminations of the town's statute of 1417 (Rome, Biblioteca del Senato della Repubblica, Statuti Mss. n. 8; later copy in Foligno, Biblioteca Iacobilli, MS A.V.8); (3) on the relationship of the illuminations to 15th c. cycles of uomini famosi, especially the fresco cycle in the Palazzo Comunale, Lucignano. Includes a transcription of the text of the statute.
