Abstract (en)

Discusses the style and iconography of a detached Byzantine fresco (Assisi, art market) with a representation of a S. Theodore, either S. Theodore the "recruit" (tyro) or S. Theodore Stratelates. Suggests, on the basis of stylistic comparisons with both frescoes and icons, that it is Serbian or Macedonian, late 14th or early 15th c.
