Discusses the views of Friesland by J. Gardinier Visscher (Leeuwarden, Fries Museum) dating from 1786-1788. They were used for the prints in the topographical series of the Vaderlandsche gezichten published in Amsterdam in 30 parts between 1786 and 1792.
