Abstract (en)

Attributes a drawing of Kilns on a River (Berlin, Staatliche Museen Preussischer Kulturbesitz, Kupferstichkabinett), previously given to Erkelens, to Hendrik Spilman. Argues that the inscription "Aij Erkelens" on a drawing of a Barn (Leiden, Rijksuniversiteit te Leiden, Prentenkabinet) is indeed the artist's signature.
