Reviews the literature, 140 titles by 50 authors, on the art and architecture of the rural district of Dillingen. Part I includes separate sections on 15th-17th c. painting, 16th-18th c. sculpture, 17th-18th c. architecture, 18th c. painting, 19th-20th c. art, and decorative arts. Part II deals with writings on monuments in eight towns and villages within the district: Dillingen, Lauingen, Gundelfingen, Höchstädt, Maria Medingen, Schwennenbach, Tapfheim, and a few outside the district. Table with title and author organized by place names.
