Presents evidence from the diaries of P.L. Ghezzi suggesting that Rubens's altarpiece, Madonna and Child with Saints and Repentant Sinners, ca.1618 (Kassel, Gemäldegalerie Alte Meister) was sold in Rome in 1743 to the cardinal Troiano Acquaviva d'Aragona.
