Researches the geographical positioning of four monks' cells in the Baden-Württemberg cities of Esslingen, Schwäbisch Gmünd, Hoppetenzell and Herbrechtingen, all of which were first associated with the monastery of Saint-Dié. Argues that there is an intimate connection between politics and geometry, thereby establishing the fact that geometry and land surveying are one and the same.
