Chronicles the history of the conceptual, 'paper architecture' movement in the Soviet Union, and its role as a catalyst for the reinvigoration of the architecture profession in that country in the past several years. Cites the conducive climate for change created by Gorbachev's policies of glasnost and perestroika.
