Abstract (en)

Presents results of technical analysis by infrared reflectography and radiography of the sheet of preparatory drawings by Michelangelo (Cleveland, Cleveland Museum) for the Sistine ceiling fresco of the ignudo next to the Prophet Daniel (Rome, Vatican, Cappella Sistina). Examines Michelangelo's use of materials and techniques, and his working methods, in both the preparatory drawings and the (recently restored) frescoes.
