Traces the influence of Cranach's 14-sheet Passion series on European art, 1509-1532. As examples of works influenced cites altarpieces (both painting and relief sculpture) from northern and eastern Germany and altarpieces (painting) from Bohemia and Spišské Dravce in Czechoslovakia. Notes that in comparison with the impact of Passion print series by Dürer, Schongauer, Schäufelein and others, Cranach's series was less influential.
