On the collection formed by James Stanley, 10th Earl of Derby, for his country seat, Knowsley in Lancashire. Enumerates the principal agents and dealers who assisted Derby in the formation of his collection, as well as artists he patronized. Appended inventories 1729 and 1730 of pictures ca.15th-18th cs. at Knowsley.
