Abstract (en)
Discusses the results of investigations, visual examination and x-ray radiography, done in 1989, of the construction of the Cupola House, Edenton, North Carolina. Believes the house was built between 1724 and 1740 and describes it as "a double-pile two-story-with-attic frame structure that is asymmetrical in both plan and every elevation, ... ." Deals with its interior decoration; most of the original first-floor rooms are installed in the Brooklyn Museum.
