Abstract (en)

Evaluates five of Leonardo's botanical drawings (Windsor Castle, Royal Library) to determine their accuracy with regard to botanical detail. Also examines these studies in relation to their use in Leonardo's projected painting of Leda and the swan, known through preparatory drawings and mid-16th c. copies of the painting.
