Considers C.C.L. Hirschfeld's critique of the Nordmandsdal or Norwegian Valley section of the park at Fredensborg Slot. Hirschfeld was especially interested in the disposition of sculpted figures in the garden, in this instance images of ordinary Norwegian citizens by J.G. Grund ca.1764-1765. The overall plan for Nordmandsdal was conceived by Frederick V.
