Discusses illuminated books, drawings, paintings, prints and illustrations by Blake, his circle and followers, sold in 1989. Includes a description of all of Blake's drawings in the sketchbook which was offered (though bought in) at Christie's, London, on 21 Mar 1989. This sketchbook consists of 68 leaves, 18 with drawings by John Varley and 52 with drawings--mainly a series of "Visionary Heads"--by Blake.
