Abstract (en)

Discusses the authorship of a medal, previously attributed to Francesco Segala, and depicting Pietro Aretino, ca.1542 (private collection), suggesting that the artist could be Nicolo Cavallerino della Mirandola, Antonio Vicentino or someone who is as yet unknown. Also discussed is the iconography of the medal's reverse depicting the personification of Truth being crowned by a Victory.
