Abstract (en)

Excavations undertaken to investigate Roman activity and development of Medieval village. Insufficient dating evidence from pottery sherds and features observed within individual trenches could only broadly be divided into Roman and Medieval. Excavated Medieval features bear no relation to present-day plan of the village.
