Abstract (en)

Chronicles Braun's involvement in producing photographs of masterworks of art. Cites letters between Braun and his two sons as well as Braun's letters to art critic Paul de Saint-Victor in connection with his art reproduction projects. A checklist of photographs by Adolphe Braun in the collections of the International Museum of Photography at George Eastman House, Rochester, NY follows this essay.
