Abstract (en)

Reviews the history of the village of Castelchiodato and its parish church, SS. Salvatore. Describes the early 13th c. polychrome sculpture of Christ as Savior with Mary Magdalen. Discusses an earlier parish church, dedicated to the Madonna degli Angeli e S. Margherita d'Antiocha, now a ruin, and the cult and iconography of S. Margaret of Antioch, here represented by 19th c. inscriptions and a statue of the saint. Appendix: one document, 1276.
