Suggests that a frescoed grotto, known as the "grotta dei Santi," between Amalfi and Atrani, may be the remains of the monastery of SS. Cirico e Giulitta, founded in the late 10th c. and known from documents to have existed until the 2d half of the 13th c. (First of a series of articles.)
