Abstract (en)

Publishes a previously unknown early 17th c. map of Alanya (archive of the conti de Lazara, Padua), connected with the attacks made on Anatolia by the Order of S. Stephen, 1585-1639. Concludes that the map is an accurate fine-copy or presentation copy, ca.1606-13, from the so-called cartografia stefaniana based on a carefully observed military sketch map, and that it allows reliable conclusions to be drawn concerning the early 17th c. fortifications of Alanya.
