Abstract (en)

Presents further evidence of anomalies in the Portrait of a Young Woman attributed to Botticelli in the Galleria Palatina, Florence. Results of technical analysis and cleaning as well as details of the iconography and costume reveal that the picture does not date from the 15th c., nor can it be a copy after a Quattrocento painting; instead, it is a forgery, probably 18th c.
