Abstract (en)

On the establishment of a new museum, located in the former Bank of Norway building in Oslo, which opened on 20 Jan 1990. Discusses the transfer of works of art from the collections of the Nasjonalgalleriet and Riksgalleriet. The latter, the state gallery of traveling exhibitions, has become a section of the new museum. Describes the two phases of the opening exhibition, Terskel: gjenta og overskride = Threshold: repetition and moving beyond, I, 20 Jan-22 Apr 1990; II, 12 May-26 Aug, of works by Norwegian and foreign artists.
