Abstract (en)

Discusses recently discovered documents concerning the building of Blessington in Co. Wicklow (burned in 1798) for Michael Boyle, archbishop of Dublin and lord chancellor of Ireland. Publishes the contract verbatim and extracts from the accounts. The architect is not known but the mason, mentioned in the contract, was Thomas Browne of Dublin.
