Abstract (en)

Compares the drawings in the Italian Codex Coburgensis, 16th c. (Coburg, Kunstsammlungen der Veste Coburg) and their copies in the Netherlandish Codex Pighianus, 16th c. (Berlin, Staatsbibliothek). Discusses paper size and watermarks of originals and drawings. Notes that 175 drawings in the Codex Pighianus, some executed possibly by the Dutch humanist Pighius himself, are copies after Codex Coburgensis that once had over 400 drawings. Three appendixes include two concordances of the two manuscripts and a list of copies in the Pighianus codex after lost drawings in the Coburg codex.
