Discusses Dasburg's abstract painting in the period 1913-1916. Suggests that a previously unknown 1914 abstraction titled Carl Van Vechten/Co-ordinated Explosion, a Cubist Portrait (Minneapolis, Regis Collection) is actually a renamed portrait of Mabel Dodge.
