Abstract (en)

Attributes to Salvestrini the frescoes (formerly assigned to Poccetti) in the Villa Carobbi (Torre degli Agli), Novoli, Florence. Describes Salvestrini's frescoes for the nearby oratory of the Compagnia dell'Assunta, next to the church of S. Maria a Novoli. Suggests that these works confirm Salvestrini's position as the most refined painter of grotesques in early 17th c. Florence.
