Reviews the literary sources, 1589-1889, for the cult of S. Domenico di Cocullo, invoked against rabies and snake-bite. Describes a portal in Anversa degli Abruzzi (via Porta Maggiore, 30), dated either 1556 or 1666 and decorated with symbols (including two serpents) probably related to this cult.
