Abstract (en)

Based on the downward gesture of the extended hand and gaze SS. Justina and Daniel are to be considered intermediaries between the Virgin and the worshiping observer, and should be placed to the Virgin's right and left respectively. The six saints form three pairs according to differences in their height. Taking this and their respective gestures and relationships into account, the following arrangement is proposed from left to right: S. Prosdocimus, S. Justina, S. Francis, the Virgin, S. Anthony, S. Daniel, S. Louis of Toulouse.
