Abstract (en)
Interprets the cantoria (Florence, Museo dell'Opera del Duomo) in the context of its original location under the north organ of the cathedral and the meaning and liturgical function of the 150th Psalm inscribed on it. The traditional association of the 150th Psalm with the Resurrection explains the position of the cantoria between two images of the Resurrection: Uccello's window in the drum of the cupola and Luca's terra cotta relief over the sacristy door. The dancing and singing angels are linked not only with the organ, but with these images of the Resurrection.
