In anticipation of the exhibition of Leonardo's work as an artist and scientist, to be held 26 Jan-16 Apr 1989 at the Hayward Gallery, London, examines two anatomical studies by Leonardo from the Royal Library, Windsor, for their relevance to the history of the study of the human body as a physiological mechanism.
