Francisco Xavier, Tepotzotlán, in the social, economic, religious, and artistic context of New Spain in the 17th and 18th cs.; focuses on the roles of the Jesuits, the patrons Francisco Antonio and Pedro León de Medina Picazo, and the architect José Durán de Almendranejo; and presents detailed new information about the Medina Picazo family and their extensive patronage of architecture and about various architects of the Durán family and their works.
