On Szyk's illuminated manuscript of the 1264 document which guaranteed legal rights to the Jews of Poland. The manuscript, now in the Jewish Museum (New York), was created by Szyk in Paris 1926-1930. Discusses the manuscript's relation to political events in Poland 1920s-1930s.
