Abstract (en)

A letter (ca.1375) to an unknown prelate, possibly Walter Skirlaw of Durham, written by John Crendon, a monk of Westminster who has agreed to procure a Purbeck marble slab for his brass, provides evidence for the monumental brass trade in late medieval England.
