Considers an Irish, bronze-mounted yew bucket--probably late 7th c.--which was recovered from a Viking ship burial in Norway (Oslo, Universitetets Oldsaksamling). Suggests the bronze and enamel anthropomorphic escutcheons represent the Celtic deity Cernunnos.
