Presents new evidence of Vanni's activity in Rome in the second and third decades of the 17th c., focusing on frescoes in Palazzo Peretti Fiano Almagià and Palazzo Santacroce, and paintings in several churches, and reassessing his career in view of the recent discovery that he was born in 1595 rather than 1587.
