Abstract (en)

Analyzes how the concept of a Greek tradition in architecture has evolved since 1833, and how it has been expressed in 20th c. building. Particular attention is directed to the complicated meaning of "tradition" in Greek architecture and its contribution to the creation and maintenance of a national identity.
