Reviews three exhibitions: 14th-20th c. sculpture from the Chigi-Saracini collection (Siena, Palazzo Chigi-Saracini); 19th c. prints exhibited in surroundings suggestive of the preoccupations and tastes of the French bourgeoisie 1840-1870 (Florence, Pitti Palace); and works from the Carrand Bequest to the Bargello which includes information on these French collectors 1820-1888 (Florence, Museo nazionale del Bargello). Also discusses some recent publications.
