Review of the United States traveling exhibition, Brücke: German expressionist prints from the Granvil and Marcia Specks collection, curated by Reinhold Heller, which opened at the Mary and Leigh Block Gallery, Northwestern University, Evanston (28 Oct-18 Dec 1988). Notes the emphasis on woodcuts in the Specks collection, and the impact of World War I on the style and subject matter favored by the Brücke artists.
