Review of the exhibition, Out of the woods, organized by Bill Millbank and shown at the Sarjeant Art Gallery, Wanganui (Jan 1990), which featured recent wood sculptures, objects, and furniture by New Zealander artists and artisans. Also cites the concurrent 'wood symposium' involving 16 invited artists working on projects at a nearby community college, whose works were then shown in a follow-up exhibition, Afterwoods.
