Abstract (en)

The volume contains an essay on Morelli as a collector and connoisseur of drawings, a catalogue raisonné of 97 drawings, and a repertory with illustrations of 279 drawings that have been traced, as well as essays on the dispersal of the collection and on Morelli's research. The reviewer notes that Morelli's collection of drawings (Italian, 15th-18th cs.) is inferior to his collection of paintings, and that his methodology for attribution is inapplicable to drawings.
