Analysis of the complex program of mythological, allegorical, and historical iconography permeating the architecture and decoration of Schloss Weissenstein, Pommersfelden, constructed mainly in the years 1711-1718 for Lothar Franz von Schönborn. Three subjects dominate the program: Holy Roman Empire and Emperor (Charles VI), the imperial couple (Charles VI and Elisabeth Christina), and Lothar Franz himself. Explains how the recurrent theme of the golden apples of the Hesperides links the numerous elements of the program.
