Abstract (en)

Attributes a number of sepulchral monuments in the Passau region to Gartner on the basis of letter formations in their inscriptions, using the inscriptions of two signed monuments as a starting point. Also discusses decorative devices used by Gartner, comments on the role of his workshop, and proposes that he died between 1530 and 1532. Includes a list of attributed works, arranged chronologically, and a table of characteristic letter styles.
