Abstract (en)

Discusses a sketchbook drawn on Varley's 1803 tour in North Wales. Includes brief descriptions of the sketchbook's 17 leaves. Also publishes a watercolor view of Llyn Caye, Cader Idris by Joshua Cristall which was recently purchased by the Morgan Library (New York). Cristall was Varley's companion on the 1803 tour and the watercolor dates from that same journey.
