Discusses a cycle of woodcuts published Venice 1588 in a quarto Vulgate Bible. These are clearly based on Holbein the Younger's woodcut illustrations to the Old Testament, his 1538 Icones. Demonstrates that at least some of the Venice blocks are datable to the early 1550s. Though the designer(s) remain anonymous, suggests the prints may have been cut by Giovanni Britto.
